Crystal Lagoons Epperson Project In Florida Compared To “Affordable Silicon Valley”

19 June, 2019 / News

The Epperson real estate development, located in Wesley Chapel, just 40-minutes from Tampa, Florida, has been highlighted by Fox News TV station for its avant-garde amenities. These include a wide range of features, ranging from the country’s fastest internet speeds throughout the U.S. to a 7.5-acre crystalline turquoise water lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons® technology.

The master-planned community, developed by Metro Development Group together with Crystal Lagoons, is part of a larger project hoping to bring high tech industry to Pasco County that will eventually become a connected city. It is the only community Florida lawmakers approved to speed up development and is seen by many as an “affordable Silicon Valley”. This in turn will likely lure high tech companies and create jobs.

It is the country’s first closed community built on a fiber network, which will allow neighbors to communicate at gigabit internet speeds, which are part of HOA fees. They will also be able to access internet that is 20 times faster than the average connection for a fee.

Another amenity that anchors the development that has brought the attention of the media and locals alike, is the monumental crystalline lagoon that is now functioning as a Public Access Lagoon (PAL) meaning the general public can access the lagoon via a ticketed entry. Entrance to the non-residents is restricted, but has sold out most weekends with good weather.

Health wellness and medical technology will also be important features at Epperson.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
