Crystal Lagoons innovation and technology have created a revolution in the worldwide realestate market, changing people’s lifestyle and taking the dream of idyllic beach life to any corner of the planet. An example of this is the world’s largest crystalline lagoon, located in the middle of the Egyptian desert.

Citystars Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt

As of 2015, Citystars Sharm El Sheikh is the Guinness World Record holder for the largest manmade crystalline lagoon. White sand beaches surround the 12.5-hectare lagoon, which allows for swimming, kayaking, and sailing.

San Alfonso del Mar, Chile

San Alfonso del Mar is a private residential resort within the Chilean coastal city of Algarrobo, which is located approximately 100 kilometers from the nation’s capital city of Santiago. Guinness World Record holder prior to Sharm El Sheik, the monumental water amenity is 1 kilometer in length.

Mahasamutr, Thailand

MahaSamutr’s 17-acre idyllic lagoon is the centerpiece of a resort community complex. Like many other recent giant man-made lagoons, the water amenity features white sand beaches and turquoise waters meant to mimic the pristine environment of unspoiled natural beaches. All homes offering direct access to the lagoon’s beach activities like kayaking, paddleboarding, and sailing. Other amenities for residents include a spa and waterfront dining options.

Las Brisas, Chile

Las Brisas is part of the exclusive Santo Domingo community located within the Valparaiso region on Chile’s coast. The resort community is anchored by its 5-acre salt water lagoon, which measures roughly the same size as 16 Olympic-sized swimming pools put together. Developed by Crystal Lagoons, the amenity overlooks the Pacific Ocean and mimics its brilliant blue waters. It offers beachfront swimming and water sports for residents, as swimming in the ocean is not permitted.

Laguna Bahía, Chile

The pristine, clear water lagoon is nearly 3.5 acres in size, making it the second-largest in the city of Algarrobo after its neighboring resort lagoon at San Alfonso del Mar. In addition to extensive swimming space, the lagoon offers a variety of beachfront water activities, including windsurfing and kayaking.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
