Crystal Lagoons Amenity Playa Turquesa To Be World’s Second Largest

8 January, 2020 / News

Located in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, the residential real-estate project anchored by a crystalline lagoon of 32 acres will be the second largest on the planet with Crystal Lagoons® technology.

The project, which is soon to be inaugurated, is known as Playa Turquesa, will bring beach life and what is known as the world’s top amenity to a landlocked area. During 2019, the multinational water innovation company celebrated the opening of another lagoon in the same area, known as Mar Adentro.

Both amenities include pioneering Crystal Lagoons technology, patented in 190 countries, which allows for the development of crystalline lagoons of unlimited size with white sand beaches and pristine water, with low construction and maintenance costs. Located in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, specifically in the Urubó area, these bodies of water are located in a piece of the tropical sea in a Mediterranean area.

The pioneering technology created by the firm’s founder, Fernando Fischmann, captures rainwater that falls into the lagoons, reducing the amount of water necessary to compensate for the evaporation. Water consumption can be further reduced by using Crystal Lagoons additives that decrease evaporation.

In Latin America, the multinational firm continues its exponential growth with several projects in different stages of planning, design, construction and operation throughout the region, specifically, in Paraguay, ArgentinaPeruMexico and Chile.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
