Crystal Lagoons Captivates Urban Planners in Australia

German Rocca, Director Oceania for Crystal Lagoons, hosted an informal breakfast roundtable for the most relevant Australia´s urban planners, which allowed them to know from the first source why the crystal-clear lagoons are known as the World’s Top Amenity.

Professor of Sustainable Urban Environments at the Sydney University of Technology, Rob Roggema, was amongst the guests too as was Christopher Brown AM, chair of the Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue as well as representatives from leading practices URBIS and AECOM.

The presentation focuses on the benefits that a sustainable resource like Crystal Lagoons can bring to the Australian urban or inland environment. A range of worldwide Crystal Lagoons projects was showcased and Mr Rocca gave an indepth backgrounder on the solutions that the firm can bring to the golf course industry in Australia. Over 50% of Australian golf courses, many with a sharp decline in membership numbers, are in financial distress.

The event was held at The Old Clare Hotel’s in Sydney.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
