Crystal Lagoons First Amenity in Texas Now a Wedding Destination16 August, 2019 / News
Balmoral, Texas’ first man-made, crystalline lagoon, powered by Crystal Lagoons® pioneering technology, has become a wedding venue like none other. Having opened just a year ago, the idyllic tropical surroundings anchor the Balmoral Amenity Village, located just minutes from the heart of Houston.
The picturesque tropical lagoon is framed with white sandy beaches and a gushing waterfall. Fully equipped as a Houston wedding and special event venue, the Balmoral 2-acre crystalline lagoon of pristine turquoise water, white sand beaches, palm trees and lush greenery provide the perfect backdrop for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
The closed community opened in 2018, and was the first amenity of its kind in the state of Texas, which now boasts a total of four Crystal Lagoons amenities either in planning, construction or to have been inaugurated.
The latest Crystal Lagoons amenity in Texas, known as Windsong Ranch, a stone’s throw from the U.S. Highway 380, was officially opened by the renowned Olympic swimmer, Michael Phelps, in June.
A local project considering a Crystal Lagoons water feature is the more than $1 billion redevelopment of the Collin Creek Mall site in Plano. Owner Centurion American Development is working on a plan to add a crystalline lagoon, although this has yet to be confirmed.
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
