The 8-hectare turquoise lagoon at San Alfonso del Mar – the first one developed by Crystal Lagoons’ concept and technology – has already captivated over 5.000 media outlets and an array of tourists worldwide, including some of Silicon Valley’s most important innovators. This time, Crystal Lagoon’s iconic project has raised the interest of Hollywood too. San Alfonso del Mar – Crystal Lagoons’ project that propelled the company’s exportation model –  has been chosen as the filming location of “Salty”, movie directed by Simon West (Tom Raider, Con Air), with Hollywood celebrity Antonio Banderas as protagonist.

The unique features of these lagoons, which have made Crystal Lagoons the world’s top amenity, have also made San Alfonso del Mar the perfect location for the movie that has Antonio Banderas in the leading role, actress Olga Kurylenko, along with a renowned cast. The director of the film is Simon West, who in previous movies has worked with stars such as Angelina Jolie (Tom Raider) and Nicolas Cage (Con Air).

It is worth mentioning that San Alfonso de Mar was the starting point for Crystal Lagoons, a multinational company that currently boasts over 400 urban, public and industrial projects – in different development stages- across 60 countries worldwide, such as the U.S., Thailand, The U.A.E., Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Indonesia, Jordan, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, among many others.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
