CRYSTAL LAGOONS’ PROJECT IN AUSTRALIA PROMISES TO REPLENISH SPIRIT OF IMPORTANT TOURIST CITY

The project that Crystal Lagoons plans to develop in the “Strand” of Townsville, one of Australia’s biggest and most attractive cities for tourism and the entrance to Great Barrier Reef, would transform the lifestyle and the economy of the town, according to the Australian newspaper “Townsville Bulletin”.

Townsville Enterprise tourism and events director Bridget Woods said that the crystal clear lagoon, along with a water park that is also projected, could not only advance tourism but increase livability for locals.
“We do know residents and visitors are attracted to water facilities,” Ms. Woods said.

The crystal clear lagoon will build a 10-hectare PAL project on the sea surface that will not rest any piece of land to the city, and that will become part of a full urban renovation plan that will offer people the opportunity to swim at jellyfish and shark free waters.

Crystal Lagoons is looking forward to partnering with Pure Projects to assist in the delivery of Townsville Council’s 2020 Vision, which will include Northern Australia’s largest man-made lagoon.

“We have created some impressive lagoons around the world but I believe the Townsville crystal clear lagoon will become the most memorable, the one that tourists from everywhere will come to visit,” said German Rocca, Crystal Lagoon’s Regional Director.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
