Crystal Lagoons´ Project in South Africa has its own Beach

13 July, 2018 / News

South African media reported the advance of the project that Crystal Lagoons develops in that country. According to Yomsanzi, “Pretoria is getting a first-ever Estate which will come with a beach, yes a beach”.

Named The Blyde in Riverwalk Estate, located in Pretoria East, this R4.2bn residential development incorporates a man-made lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons® technology for swimming, kayaking, paddle-boarding and sailing. These pristine lagoons can be filled with fresh, brackish, or even salt water and uses 2% of the energy of standard pool filtration technologies, and 100 times fewer additives.

Crystal Lagoons has linked up with Balwin Properties for the construction and operation of South Africa’s first artificial lagoon, which will bring the most beautiful beach to Pretoria.

“At 1.5 hectares (which is equivalent to just over 2 rugby fields), the man-made lagoon will be a key selling point to the development, and be the first lagoon to feature our game-changing technology and unique concept in Sub-Saharan Africa,” says Alastair Sinclair, Regional Director for Africa at Crystal Lagoons.

Along with the on-site Lifestyle Centre and its many leisure facilities, The Blyde has something for everyone. The apartments come standard with free appliances, prepaid utilities and the quality finishes Balwin is renowned for. All this with state-of-the-art security too.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
