Crystal Lagoons® Projects Part of Innovative U.S. Connected City

3 March, 2020 / News

Part of a connected city in Pasco county, Florida, a megaproject is being developed by Crystal Lagoons® together with Metro Development Group, to create a haven of innovation and technology that includes solar-powered streetlights, 21st century health and wellness initiatives and includes no less than two Crystal Lagoons water amenities. The large-scale project is a first for the United States, and has been distinguished by the Tampa-based media outlet, Biz Journals.

The connected city development has two Metro Places communities —known as Epperson and Mirada — each with its own multi-acre Crystal Lagoons amenities, ULTRAFi high-speed internet technology and hundreds of solar powered iLights. It is the first Smart Gigabit Community built from the ground up.

Known as the world’s top amenity, these lagoons are powered by technology patented in 190 countries by the U.S., Miami-based firm, Crystal Lagoons, offering residents a relaxing beach environment, in which they can enjoy an idyllic view and pure, turquoise waters, without having to travel much further than their backyard.

The real estate development designed for residents 55+Mirada, will include a 15-acre lagoon which, once completed, will be Tampa Bay area’s third and largest pure turquoise lagoon. Almost twice the size of Epperson’s 7.5-acre lagoon, both willbring a piece of the ocean to resident’s doorsteps but also make watersports more accessible by offering a safe and peaceful environment to practice them.

Crystal Lagoons is an American multinational innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
