Crystal Lagoons Sustainable Technology Keeps Boosting Tourism in Thailand

25 August, 2017 / News

The world’s top amenity has had very positive results on tourism figures, reducing low-season effect, increasing year-round occupancy and globally enhancing travellers’ experience.

South East Asia – and Thailand – has become one of top destinations chosen by travellers from all over the world. Only in 2016 Thailand received over 32 million visitors. Although Thailand keeps being a highly popular destination, tourists are always looking for the latest attractions.

Crystal Lagoons, regarded as the world’s top amenity, has offered Thai tourism developments the chance of attracting travellers year-round, even during low seasons.

One of Crystal Lagoons’ most successful projects in Southeast Asia is the Treasure Bay, in Bintan, Indonesia.  Since opening day, arrivals have reached an outstanding 40% increase.

It is worth mentioning that Crystal Lagoons’ technology is sustainable and environmentally friendly. Crystal-clear lagoons can bring the idyllic life style of the beach anywhere in the world at very low construction and maintenance costs, using 100 times less chemicals and only 2% of the energy required by traditional filtration systems. Furthermore, crystal-clear lagoons use 30 times less water than golf courses and 50% of the water required by a park.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
