Fernando Fischmann, Founder and CEO of Crystal Lagoons, Wins Two Gold Stevie® Awards in The 2016 International Business Awards

Crystal Lagoons Chairman and Founder Fernando Fischmann earned two Gold Stevie® Awards in the Annual International Business Awards for “Innovator of the Year” and for “Energy Industry Innovation of the Year.”

Considered “the Oscars of the business world” which “singles out the good business leaders” around the world, Fernando Fischmann, Founder and President of Crystal Lagoons, now joins the ranks of Stevie® Awards winners, including Steve Jobs of Apple, Jeff Bezos of Amazon and Alan Mulally of Ford Motor Company.

Fernando Fischmann was named the “Innovator of the Year” for his sustainable vision for water usage and earned the “Energy Industry Innovation of the Year” for his water desalination technology that uses no energy and that aims to solve some of the global problems of energy and water scarcity.

This year’s awards received more than 3,800 nominations from 60 countries, and Fischmann was chosen as the person who has contributed the most to innovation, with the Cisco Systems taking second place.

Stevie®Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from May through early August. The judging panel included representatives from Nike, DHL, HSBC, Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, American Express and others.
