First Man-Made Crystal Lagoons In Texas Now Open12 November, 2018 / News
The first Crystal Lagoons® amenity in Texas is officially open at the Balmoral community in Humble. The 2-acre man-made crystalline lagoon features a sandy beach and plenty of shady spaces to lounge under.
SkyEye13, the news channel’s drone, flew over the lagoon as workers began pumping water into its concrete footprint.
The lagoon is the centerpiece of the community’s “amenity village,” according to Balmoral’s planners. A grand opening celebration featured 23-time Olympic gold medalist and global Crystal Lagoons ambassador Michael Phelps.
Although this particular crystalline lagoon is open exclusively to residents who live in the community, Crystal Lagoons is focused on its new business model, Public Access Lagoons (PALs), which uses a pay per use system. Blue Tree in Phuket, Thailand, is planned to be the next PAL to open in the coming months.
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
