A decade has passed since Crystal Lagoons® received its first Guinness World Record, but international media outlets continue to show interest in the real estate project in San Alfonso del Mar, Chile.

In 2007, the multinational, leader in innovation obtained its first Guinness World Record for its 20 acres crystalline water lagoon development, officially converting it into the world’s largest pool.

The Brazilian website, Pais & Filhos, recently highlighted the lagoon in San Alfonso del Mar, which is the equivalent to 20 Olympic swimming pools. The development uses technology created by Fernando Fischmann, biochemist and founder of Crystal Lagoons.

Set within the San Alfonso del Mar real estate complex in Algarrobo, located a 100 kilometers from Santiago, the Chilean capital, the man-made lagoon filled with pristine water is 1.012 meters long and, in total, spreads over 20 acres. As well as being the largest in size, it is the widest in the world (115 meters). Due to its sheer size, its waters can be enjoyed in kayak, sailing or by simply swimming.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
