The idyllic lagoons and landscapes created by Crystal Lagoons® have captivated the attention worldwide. On this occasion, the sports website Triatletas en Red selected the multinational water innovation company’s first lagoon, located on the coast of Chile, which is known as San Alfonso del Mar, as a must for training in. Describing it as an “architectural wonder”, until 2015, it held the Guinness World Record for being the world’s largest crystalline lagoon. Its concept and technology were created by the biochemist, Fernando Fischmann, winner of the Stevie Award in its two categories: Innovator of the Year, for his sustainable vision for water usage, and Innovation of the Year, for his water desalination technology that uses no energy.

This architectural wonder that seemed to us a utopia exists, and is the size of some 6,000 normal pools and an area of 20 acres reaching up to a kilometer long. Without a doubt a paradise for passionate swimmers and athletes,” states the article.

For this project, Fernando Fischmann, President of Crystal Lagoons which was recently valued at US $4.1 billon, created a pioneering and environmentally sustainable technology, patented worldwide. This technology allows crystalline lagoons of unlimited sizes to be built and maintained at very low costs anywhere in the world, using a minimum amount of additives and energy. Crystal Lagoons currently has 600 projects in different stages of operation, planning, design and construction.

Crystal Lagoons is an American multinational innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
