South African media covers progress made at the first man-made lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons in Africa

The Blyde, a brand new US$ 8.6 million real estate development in Pretoria will feature a clear water lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons® as its centrepiece. In addition, the project will also anchor clubhouse, 6,900 residential units and other amenities.
The project is the result of a partnership deal between Crystal Lagoons and Balwin Development. Stephen Brookes from Balwin has recently estate that “Crystal Lagoons technology has revolutionized the global real estate market by bringing idyllic beach paradises to new locations, where swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing can be enjoyed”.
Alastair Sinclair, regional director for Africa at Crystal Lagoons, said: “This clear water lagoon is 1.5ha large, which is equivalent to just over two rugby fields. It becomes a key selling point for Balwin. We believe customers will be attracted by the only clear water lagoon in Pretoria.”
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
