Texas’ Second Crystal Lagoons Amenity Opens To Residents24 June, 2019 / News
After years of planning and construction, over 1.500 residents and future residents of the Windsong Ranch master planned community, in Prosper, Texas, took their first dip in the project’s new Crystal Lagoons® amenity this weekend.
The 5-acre crystalline lagoon is only the second such project to open in Texas and the first for the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The Tellus Group, developers of the 2,000-acre Windsong Ranch project, hope that the water feature will mean more home sales for the project located just off the U.S. Highway 380 in Denton County.
The quarter-mile-long is about 10 feet at its deepest. The brilliant blue water is surrounded by acres of sandy beaches, and a boardwalk.
“Year-round we will have blue waters and white sand beaches,” said Craig Martin of developer Tellus Group. “We will rent paddle boards and kayaks to use on the water.” And added that Windsong Ranch has the highest level of amenities of any community in North Texas.
Michael Phelps to attend official opening
Windsong Ranch is planning its official opening on June 28th. Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps, global ambassador to Crystal Lagoons, will be on hand to formally inaugurate the crystalline lagoon.
“We have about 1,800 RSVPs to the grand opening party,” Martin said.
Windsong Ranch success
Windsong Ranch was a finalist for three awards presented by the National Association of Home Builders’ National Sales and Marketing Council. It received the Gold Award for Lifestyle Director and Silver Awards for Master Planned Community of the Year and Best Lifestyle Annual Program.
In total, Crystal Lagoons currently has 110 projects in some stage of negotiation, planning, or development across the country, with prospects in 22 states, including Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, and a 34-acre lagoon in Palm Springs, California.
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
