Texas To Be Next US Market Leader Of Crystal Lagoons

31 October, 2018 / News

Just a few days have gone by since Crystal Lagoons® announced the construction of a new 12 acres lagoon in Lago Mar. It is part of a residential project in the cIty of Texas, to be developed in association with Land Tejas. Once completed, the lagoon will be bigger than the lagoon recently inaugurated in Balmoral, Northeast of Houston. It will be the biggest in the state.

Due to the magnitude and uniqueness of these high-end projects, various media outlets have highlighted the lagoons of crystal clear waters. Two prominent US television channels, ABC 13, owned by the ABC subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, along with Khou, a television station affiliated with CBS licensed to Houston, have aired stories about the construction works.

In the case of Lago Mar, the crystalline lagoon will be the central piece of the complex of a total of 30 hectares that, unlike other projects, is a public access lagoons, known as PAL, meaning that the general public, as well as residents, will be able to bathe in the turquoise waters. The lagoon itself will be part of a 70-acre resort-style compound that will include a hotel, waterfront boardwalk promenade, 250,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space as well as condos and townhomes. Construction will begin soon.

Kevin Morgan, executive vice president of Crystal Lagoons U.S. Corp., previously told the Houston Business Journal that Texas “will be the largest market in the country” within the next three to five years.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
