U.S. City Demands Construction of Crystal Lagoons Amenity

12 March, 2019 / News

Crystal Lagoons is changing the landscape of cities thanks to its crystalline lagoons and communities across the nation are no doubt valuing them. Rowlett, a city located north east of Dallas, Texas, is no exception. Residents and the local authorities have opted to go to the courts to demand that the developer build a PAL (Public Access Lagoon), as promised. The lagoon is part of a resort and is to be a new centre filled with leisure amenities.

The project, developed by Bayside District Partners (BDP), consists of a 8-acre crystalline lagoon, anchoring a 45-acre resort. The problem arose when BDP modified the master-planned community presented to the authorities and eliminated the lagoon completely.

Both the community and the municipality have united to revert this decision, suing the real estate company for the changes made to the original master plan.

In a joint effort through social media and action taken by the authorities, the community is fighting for the construction of a Crystal Lagoons PAL. After two months of negotiations, the city is hopeful an agreement will be reached with the developer.

The town authorities and residents of Rowlett wish to replicate the nearby urban phenomenon seen at Balmoral, also located in Texas, which has been a sales success. Both parties insist that the construction of the lagoon must be completed.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
