Crystal Lagoons Breaks Ground on “Beachwalk”

24 March, 2017 / News

Crystal Lagoons held a Groundbreaking Celebration for “Beachwalk” in St. John’s County, Florida, yesterday. The 14-acre Crystal Lagoon will be the centerpiece amenity of the mixed-use development by Twin Creeks Development and Encore Capital Management.

More than 200 people attended the celebration, including a dozen media outlets, who covered the event.  A ceremonial ribbon cutting was held, and guests heard from Art Falcone and John Kinsey, the developers of the project.

Commissioner James K. Johns, Chair of Board of County Commissioners of St. John’s County, told the crowd that this Crystal Lagoon-anchored development will create more than 4,000 jobs, more than $2 billion in tax base and generate $11 million dollars in recurring tax revenue for the county, based on the County’s calculations.  The county’s general fund is currently $150 million per year so this project means a 7.3% increase for the County’s general fund.

In addition to elected public officials, numerous real estate developers from around the nation gathered to learn more about Crystal Lagoons.  The executives represented prestigious development companies, such as Marriott Worldwide Vacations, Land Tejas, Landstar Development, Mattamy Homes, Millcraft, Capital Group, Reed Development, and Gramling Brothers, and more.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
