Crystal Lagoons Is Building World’s Second Largest Lagoon in Bolivia

11 March, 2019 / News

The eastern part of Bolivia will host one of the largest crystalline water lagoons that Crystal Lagoons has ever built. Known as Playa Turquesa, in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, it includes a 32-acre body of water, which once inaugurated, will be the second largest lagoon built by the multi-national innovation company behind Citystars Sharm El Sheik, in Egypt.

Playa Turquesa is an exclusive residential real estate resort totaling 444 acres, with 12 apartment buildings which will include, thanks to the lagoon, an extensive beach of about 45,000 m2. This development will allow for the practice of different water activities such as windsurfing and sailing.

In addition to this development is another project developed by Crystal Lagoons. Known as Mar Adentro, which consists of a 11-acre crystalline water lagoon anchored within a 172-acre residential real estate complex.

Santa Cruz is located in the province of the same name and is Bolivia’s most densely populated province with more than 3 million inhabitants. The city is the main area in terms of development for the Andean nation and an important business center for the northeast of Argentina and Paraguay.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
