Crystal Lagoons Project in South Africa Announces Solid Financial Results

In 2018, the multinational water innovation company, Crystal Lagoons®, partnered with residential property developer, Balwin Properties to build and operate South Africa’s first crystalline lagoon known as the world’s top amenity. With that, it brought beach life to a Mediterranean area, specifically to Gauteng, within Pretoria, South Africa. A year later, Balwin Properties has announced a rise in 6% shareholds.
“At almost 4 acres, the equivalent to two rugby fields, the Crystal Lagoons amenity has proved to be a key selling-point to the development, and the first lagoon to feature our game-changing technology and unique concept in South Africa,” says Alastair Sinclair, Regional Director for Africa at Crystal Lagoons, about the project known as The Blyde.
Additionally, the development has shown to greatly increase sales, and at a very low cost—in both construction and maintenance, and importantly, in basic resource consumption such as electricity and water. The amenity can be filled with fresh, brackish, or even salt water and uses 2% of the energy of standard pool filtration technologies, and 100 times less additives.
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
