CRYSTAL LAGOONS INTERVIEW AT PULSO NEWSPAPER

Javiera de la Cerda | Research & Development Director

What is the current status of entrepreneurship?

I think that to place entrepreneurship on the public sphere is a great step forward for the country. Currently, there are being applied support systems that help innovations during their first stages of business. However, we are still lacking further advances in the field of intellectual property and protection for the newly developed innovations.

Which lessons has CL learned from its own history?
Innovators and entrepreneurs have to face a difficult path, they have to overcome many obstacles and they might even fail. In order to help them prevail over that, we provide opportunities such as our scholarship program that helps the commercial takeoff of new innovations. Apart from that, I think that we always need to see the bigger picture, realizing that there is just one world market.

Why did Crystal Lagoons create the entrepreneurship scholarship?
We wanted to aid the national human capital and employment growth. We also wanted to compensate the country offering superlative help to national enterprises that, as Crystal Lagoons at its beginnings, have faced the challenges of a local business that aims to export technology.
